V&A Opal Masi Graphite Traditional Rug

Agnella's Opal collection is woven from high-quality New Zealand wool and enhanced with hand-crafted relief. The rug's pile is high and dense, ensuring the utmost comfort.

Hand-reliefed rugs are a unique product, distinguished by exceptional craftsmanship, unique design, and a 3D structure that is incredibly pleasant to the touch. The exceptional design on these rugs draws upon the V&A’s collection of painted tapa cloth, made for millennia by Pacific Islanders. The beautiful decoration was created in Fiji in the 1800s on cloth that was made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree, Broussonetia papyrifera. Often taking on ceremonial significance, the extraordinary patterns are enjoyed for their abstraction as much as their symbolism.

- woven with a high quality wool

- naturally hypoallergenic

- the surface of the wool fleece traps dust and other impurities which keeps them from spreading in the air, a great solution for people with asthma or allergies

- easy to maintain

- a wool pile has a natural protective layer provided by the natural oils in the sheep fleece which prevents dirt from sticking to the fibre and makes it easily removable

- excellent sound absorber

- air purification

- positive air ions are created by electrical equipment inside our homes, there is sufficient evidence to suggest that these have a negative effect on health; as a natural material wool creates negative ions which helps to neutralise the air

- naturally flame-retardant

- owing to the natural properties of the fibre, wool rugs are flame retardant; in case of a fire, wool does not transmit the flame and does not melt

- Woolmark license, awarded by AWI (Australian Wool Innovation), which let us use the International Trade Mark Woolmark; only products made from the pure new wool, which meet strict quality standards, can be marked with Woolmark Certificate

- an investment for years

- using quality yarns and expert manufacturing you can be sure that our wool rug will stand the test of time
